Sunday: Coastal Loop
Meeting place: Woolgoolga Beach Event Centre
Time: 9.30am – 11am
Ride Description:
20km ride with a mix of singletrack, bike path and some quiet residential roads. Suitable for all levels of rider. The trail takes in the shores of Woolgoolga lake and scenic headlands as well as the estuary system of Arrawarra. There are rest points where riders can easy self-guide themselves back to town if necessary. Time permitting we can roll past the Forest event centre and witness the Cross Country Marathon athletes in action.
Sunday: Secret Singles
Meeting place: Woolgoolga Beach Event Centre
Time 9.30am – 11.30 am
Ride Description:
Whilst this is only a 12km loop it is very physical. It is designed for the seasoned mountain biker who wants a taste of the wilder side of Woolgoolga. The ride contains some technical trails, pinchy climbs and some incredible jungle singletrack. This loop will leave a lasting memory and is a must do for visiting riders who want to challenge themselves. The meeting place is the Beach event centre but will require a 10 minute drive to the start point so bikes can be left on cars during the briefing. If you ride this whole loop without putting a foot down you deserve a medal!
General info:
All social rides are organised and guided by local volunteers. They are free of charge and cater for rider 12 years and older. You will need a bike with working gears, functioning brakes and have a spare tube and pump as a minimum. The guides and sweeps all have mechanical knowledge but there primary job is to guide riders safely around, not repair bikes that start the ride in poor condition. Check over your bike before the event or get your local bicycle mechanic the check it out for you. Ride safety brief will start on the time in each ride description so you need to get there 10 minutes early to avoid any holdups. For the safety of everyone riders who do not attend the briefing will not be able to join the group. Children under 15 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
